About The Host

Dr. T is a veterinarian, owner Medical Director of the Progressive Veterinary Care Family of Animal Hospitals, and co-owner of Progressive Veterinary Solutions.  His real name is Michael Tokiwa, and he calls himself the CanAsian (guess the ancestry).

While not practicing veterinary medicine and running his businesses, you can find him right here talking about your pet’s health matters, or out indulging in many other of his diversified passions.

He medically cares for dogs and cats,  he tweets and writes articles about his thoughts on many subjects, he teaches about veterinary medicine, he drums on his kit or sometimes on his belly (for his son), he rides his Honda CBR or his mountain bike, he helps people understand the human animal bond.

Allie Koury ’15

093014_WRRC_037Allie Koury is a senior at Rider University and the producer for the popular Saturday morning show Your Pet Matters.  She is a Public Relations major with a double minor in Event Planning & Production and Advertising.  Since arriving at Rider, Allie has been an integral part of campus life working with the Student Government Association as the 2014-2015 President, being a member of the Leadership Development Program and Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honorary as well as being an active member of the Rider Dance Ensemble as a dancer and choreographer.  Allie loves all things Disney, Harry Potter and her bunny Lily who is often talked about on Your Pet Matters.  

My name is Fatima Heyward and I am 19 years old. I am a junior

at Rider University and a Radio, TV and Film major. I am the current,

chapter president of the Tau Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta

Sorority, Inc. I’m also on the executive board of OnFire! and a member

of Rebovich Institute for NJ Politics. I currently work at Greater Media

Philadelphia for 95.7 Ben Fm in the promotions department. In the past I

have been president of Wright Hall, on the executive board of Black

Student Union and event planner of the sophomore class cabinet. Lastly, I

have a radio show on campus on Fridays at 4 pm. I’ve had a radio show

at Rider University since my freshman year. Now, I currently have an

internship as producer for a new morning show on 107.7 the Bronc called

Your Pet Matters!
