Contest: Rider students are invited to submit an original breakfast, lunch or dinner recipe via the The Rider Student Top Chef app on the 107.7 The Bronc Facebook page from Thursday, October 11 at 12 a.m. to Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. Judges will select three recipes from all of the student recipes submitted. Recipes will be judged on originality, creativity and cooking simplicity. Qualifying students will compete in a performance cooking competition on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 4 – 7 p.m. at one of three action stations at Daly Dining Hall. Staff from Rider Dining Services will be on-hand to assistant each student chef in the preparation of his/her qualify recipe and insure the student and university are in compliance with all Lawrence Township Board of Health codes. During the performance cooking competition Rider students will have the opportunity to sample and vote for each qualifying recipe. The student/recipe with the most votes on Thursday, November 14 at 7 p.m. will be deemed Rider Student Top Chef.
Prizes: First Place: Apple iPad Mini (16GB/Black) and $100 Advantage Plus Membership courtesy Sam’s Club, Princeton; $48.65 in gift certificates and the winning recipe featured as a special menu item at PJ’s Pancake House in Princeton and West Windsor; and $100 in Bronc Bucks from Rider Dining Services. Second Place: A $35 Sam’s Club College Membership, $41.70 in gift certificates to PJ’s Pancake House and $60 in Bronc Bucks. Third Place: A $35 Sam’s Club College Membership, $27.80 in gift certificates to PJ’s Pancake House and $40 in Bronc Bucks.
