Build The Ultimate Broncwich Rules
Entry Period Begins: Monday, February 16, 2026 at 12:01 a.m.
Entry Period Ends: Sunday, April 5, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Finale: Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Cranberry’s, located in the Bart Luedeke Center.
Contest
Submit an original sandwich recipe along with a 60-second Instagram-style reel explaining why you believe you created the “Ultimate Broncwich” via the Build The Ultimate Broncwich contest page at www.1077thebronc.com/BuildABroncwich from Monday, February 16 to Sunday, April 5, 2026.
This contest is open to all full or part-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled during the 2026 spring semester at Rider University.
Sandwich submissions by the Entrant must meet the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary definition of a sandwich, which is defined as “two or more slices of bread, a split roll, wrap, bagel or pita having a filling or filling in-between.” Sandwiches can be hot or cold; or open-faced. All recipes entered will be judged by the culinary team at Rider Dining Services based on originality, creativity, taste, overall visual and crowd appeal, and if your recipe reflects the theme of this year’s contest successfully.
Student recipes/entries must be received by Sunday, April 5, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. and include the following to be considered:
- Sandwich Name, Ingredients and Preparation instructions
- 60-second Instagram style reel featuring:
- Why You Believe You Created “The Ultimate Broncwich”
- All IG style reels must end with “I created the Ultimate Broncwich because “I Believe in Rider University.”
- Your Instagram handle
To enter visit http://www.1077thebronc.com/BuildaBroncwich Entrants must follow the instructions to access and complete the online entry form, upload your Instagram-style reel via YouTube. Please provide a public link to your video.
Judges will select seven qualifying recipes, aka “The Magnificent 7”, plus three alternate recipes from all the student sandwiches submitted during the contest entry period. The Magnificent 7 will be announced on Friday, April 10, 2026.
All of The Magnificent 7 sandwiches will have the 60-second Build The Ultimate Broncwich Instagram style reel they entered, along with their recipe, posted on The Bronc’s Instagram account @1077TheBronc between Monday, April 13 and Sunday, April 19, 2026. Each of the seven IG reels will be posted on a different day of the week. Order of postings will be determined by random drawing. Once posted, 107.7 The Bronc will collaborate with the Rider student who created the sandwich, as well as Rider Student Government Association, Rider Student Entertainment Council, and Rider University Greek Life, and tag #IBelieveInRider and #RiderUniversity!
The three Instagram reels with the most views by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, aka “The Tasty Three” will be contacted via phone on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 to compete in the Build The Ultimate Broncwich Finale on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The Tasty Three must be present at the Build The Ultimate Broncwich Finale on Tuesday, April 28 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Cranberry’s, inside the Bart Luedeke Center to present their culinary creation to the Rider community as well as create a visual display to market, brand and sell the sandwich they entered. If you cannot be present at the Finale an alternate finalist will be chosen.
During the Build The Ultimate Broncwich Finale Rider students, faculty and staff will be able sample, rate and vote each of the finalists’ recipes. Voting will take place via 107.7 The Bronc’s website at 1077thebronc.com/BuildAVote from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the day of the finale.
The student/recipe with the most votes and the highest rating at the end of the finale will be deemed the winner of Build The Ultimate Broncwich. The winner will be announced live on air on Wake Up Rider on Wednesday, April 29 at 9 a.m. and via email to the Rider campus community at 10 a.m. the same day.
Prizes
Entries: Every Rider student who enters will receive two tickets to Catch A Rising Star in Princeton ($90) and a pair of 30-minute jump passes ($25) to Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Hamilton, plus a $90 restaurant gift card pack featuring: $30 to Gretalia Hospitality Group, $20 to B2 Bistro Bar + Grill, $20 to Fedelo’s Ristorante and Pizza, and $20 to Lawrenceville Sandwich Company. Total Prize value: $205.00

Once submitted, each entry shall become the property of the 107.7 The Bronc, Rider University, Rider Dining Services and Yooo Cuz. All Entrants grant the 107.7 The Bronc and its affiliates, legal representatives, assigns, agents and licensees, the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times used), each element of each, and use of the entrant’s name, likeness, photograph (collectively, “Likeness”), and/or statements regarding his/her participation in this Contest (with or without using the Entrant’s name) in any and all media without limitation as to time or territory, and without additional compensation or approval from the Entrant or any other party. Entrant waives intellectual property rights, privacy/publicity rights and all other legal rights that might preclude the Contest Administrator’s use of any element of the Entry, and agrees not to sue or assert any claim against Rider University, the Sponsors, or any of their trustees, officers, employees or agents, for the use of any element of the Entry or Entrant’s Likeness or statements. Entrant further grants all end users of the Web Site (a) the ability to rate, vote, review, comment.
107.7 The Bronc, Rider University, Rider Dining Services and Yooo Cuz serves the right to broadcast or otherwise publish the names and likeness of all Build The Ultimate Broncwich contestants. Judging shall be the responsibility of Rider University Dining Services. Station reserves the right to alter contest rules including, but not limited to, the dates of the contest.
