Contest: Rider students are invited to submit a cohesive authentic ethnic or regional, American cuisine recipe via the The Rider Student Top Chef app on the 107.7 The Bronc Facebook page, Thursday, October 9 at 12:01 a.m. to Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. Submissions should include one breakfast, lunch or dinner entrée plus one side dish No desserts please. Judges will select three recipes from all of the student submissions. Recipes will be judged on originality, authenticity and cooking simplicity. Qualifying students will compete in the Performance Cook-Off Finale Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 4 – 7 p.m. at one of three culinary stations at Daly Dining Hall. Entrants must be present and be able to compete, create and serve their recipe the day of the event to be eligible. No contestant substitutions permitted. Staff from Rider University Dining Services will be on-hand to assistant each student chef in the preparation of his/her qualifying recipe to insure both the student and the university are compliant with all Lawrence Township Board of Health codes. During the performance cooking competition Rider students will have the opportunity to sample and vote for each qualifying recipe. Voting will take place via text and tabulated by Zipwhip from 4:30 – 7 p.m. The student/recipe with the most votes by 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 13 will be deemed winner of Rider Student Top Chef: International Buffet.
