Get ready to pour some sugar on us! The theme for this years competition is anything sweet! Whether it’s cakes, pies, cookies or even ice cream, as long as the main ingredient in your recipe sugar, you’re all set to bake in our kitchen!

Everyone who enters Dessert Wars: Confectionery Confessions receives a pair of tickets to see The Original Harlem Globetrotters on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. or WWE Live on Friday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the CURE Insurance Arena.
All recipes submitted will be judged by a team of panelists from Rider Eats by Gourmet Dining and scored on it’s originality, creativity, baking ease, and if sugar is the key ingredient.
The top three desserts will to duke it out at the Dessert Wars: Confectionery Confessions Bake-Off on Thursd
Rider students along with a panel of expert judges will sample all of the sweet treats. After the judges scores have been tabulated and student votes counted, the baker with the highest judged score will earn a sweet treat in their own right: a 55″ HDTV, four tickets to Jeff Dunham on Sunday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the CURE Insurance Arena, a year’s worth of tanning from The Tanning Zone in Hamilton and Ewing and more!
