Meet The Broadcast Team
Michael Alesandro ’18
Michael is a Communication Studies major and a Sports Management minor. Michael has been announcing football games since he was 13 years old, and is a player on the Rider Ultimate Frisbee Team. Fun fact: Michael knows the names of every state capital in America.
Patrick Auld ’19
Patrick Auld is a Sports Media major from Hazlet, New Jersey. Currently a member of the Rider Ice Hockey, Patrick has been a diehard sports fan his entire life, including a Mets and Rangers fan. The thrill of competing is something that he can’t compare anything else to. In the future, Patrick wants to work in something in the media field in sports. Radio, social media, anything involved in the media side of sports. #LGM
JJ Santagata ’18
JJ Santagata is in pursuit of a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Communications. JJ has done an on-air show at 107.7 the Bronc which introduced him to his current broadcast role. JJ is also a four-year Rider Ice Hockey player, currently captaining the team. In his spare time, JJ likes to write sport articles, mainly focusing on the NHL though, for his site liveinthestands.com. He also comes from a baseball background and played it his whole life. JJ’s next goal is a Masters in Education while working as a Graduate Assistant at University of Mary Washington. JJ’s non-athletic interests include reading, playing golf, working with athletes, volunteering on the weekends for some non-profits, blogging and anything that brings a smile to himself and others. If JJ has any dislikes, it would be when Michael Kay calls a high fly ball during Yankee games.
