107.7 The Bronc is proud to announce that the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System has recognized our students with eight IBS Media Award nominations, including two Best College Radio Station of the Year nominations.

We couldn’t be more excited and proud of our team and the individuals nominated for their outstanding achievements.

This year’s nominations include:

  1. Best College Radio Station: 107.7 The Bronc WRRC-FM
  2. Best Streaming/Online Only College Radio Station: 107.7 The Bronc Retro WRRC2
  3. Best Morning Show: Nick Witkowski and Trey Wright
  4. Best Promo Series: Nick Witkowski – Rider Student Top Chef: The Big Cheese
  5. Best Social media Account: Heather Batezel/107.7 The Bronc – 107.7 The Bronc Retro
  6. Best Station Contest/Promotional Event: The Eggscellent Egg Hunt
  7. Best Station Contest/Promotional Event: 107.7 The Bronc Bronc Bowls
Currently, 107.7 The Bronc and 107.7 The Bronc Retro has received more nominations (8) for its radio work than any of our peer institutions including: William Paterson (6), Montclair (6), Seton Hall (6), Rutgers (4), The College of New Jersey (4), Monmouth (1) and Rowan (0) as well as our nemesis Hofstra (2)
The IBS conference is Friday and Saturday, February 24 to 25. The awards themselves are February 25 at 5:15 p.m. at the Sheraton Times Square.
107.7 The Bronc will also be featured at this year’s awards as part of the Marconi Spotlight Series. The Bronc Staff as well as John Mozes will talk about what makes a Marconi-nominated radio station “tick?”  What makes it special?  Were the ones with the right advice.
