Meet the Host

Jared Brito is presently a Sports Media major from Philadelphia, PA. He is currently one of the hosts of The Best Damn Sports Report and hosts the live sports talk show, Fastbreak Fridays, which airs Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on 107.7 The Bronc. Jared talks about the latest news and updates in basketball, football, baseball, and hockey. When he’s not working at The Bronc, Jared enjoys acting in theatre, commercials, TV shows, and film.  He is also on the Relay For Life marketing committee.  His hobbies include playing and talking about sports, singing, acting, and listening to all types of music.

Tom Trimarco is a sports media major here at Rider, I grew up in Hunterdon County and graduated two years ago from North Hunterdon High School. I am a huge NFL and NBA fan, but my favorite sports has to be college football. Since I was little kid my favorite sports teams are the New York Giants and the Portland Trailblazers. I’m also a huge music fan and love classic rock. My favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, the Grateful Dead, and the Beatles. It’s always been a dream of mine to be on the radio and I can’t wait to get a start here on the Bronc!

Ben Shinault is majoring in Multi-Platform Journalism here at Rider University with a minor in Sports Media. Ben hails from Haddon Heights, New Jersey and is a graduate of Haddon Heights High School. While in high school, Ben assisted with football play-by-play and will be utilizing the skills he learned there as the newest member of the Rider women’s basketball broadcast team. Ben is a former special contributor on 94 WIP, who enjoys writing about baseball and loves to play sports as well. He hopes to bring his passion and energy for sports to the listeners of 107.7 The Bronc.

 

Jay Johnson is a sports media major with a minor in broadcast journalism. He grew up in Abington, Pennsylvania and graduated in 2020 from Abington Senior High School. Jay is a big Philadelphia 76ers and Green Bay Packers fan. His hobbies include: watching movies, playing video games, and hanging out with friends and family. When it comes to music Jay loves hip hop and some of his favorite artists include: J. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert, and Future. He has always loved watching sports and would love to be able to make a career out of it.

Kris Aponte is a Sports Media major with a minor in Spanish and Journalism from Clifton, NJ. Currently, he is one of the reporters for The Overtime, featuring the latest scores and highlights of professional, collegiate, and high school sports on 107.7 The Bronc Retro. In addition to working at 107.7 The Bronc, Kris is a member of the Latin American Student Organization (LASO), a brother of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc., and a member of the club baseball team. Kris is a passionate basketball, baseball, football, and soccer fan. Feel free to challenge Kris in a competitive Madden or 2k game.

Jake Serrano is a junior transfer student at Rider University. With an associates degree in the arts already under his belt, Jake is looking to earn a bachelor’s degree in TV and Film. He’s learning how to improve his cinematography skills and take on a balanced schedule again. Some of his classes include: Production Management, Filmmaking II, and Covering the Sports Betting Industry. Jake is a busy man. He is a trustee scholar and is heavily involved with the Office of Admissions transfer program. He’s also part of the Clubs and Organizations committee for SGA, the Broncs Go Green team, the film club RUN – the Rider University TV Network, 107.7 The Bronc and the Rider News.In his free time, Jake is also a member of Rider’s flag football team. At home he plays pickup ultimate frisbee.
