Submit your best chicken dish in which chicken is featured as the main ingredient via the Rider Student Top Chef: Cluck U contest page at www.1077TheBronc.com or through The Rider Student Top Chef app on the 107.7 The Bronc Facebook page from Tuesday, October 4 at 12:01 a.m. to Friday, November 4, 2016 at 12 p.m. Contest is open to full and part-time Rider students attending or taking online classes during the 2016 fall semester. Please note: this is a savory contest. No desserts will be accepted. Submissions can be a breakfast, lunch or dinner entrée accompanied by one side dish, if you so choose, for plating. Chicken recipes entered can be baked, fried, roasted, grilled, sautéed, boiled, slow-cooked, etc. Judges will select three qualifying recipes and three alternates from all of the student submissions complied during the entry period listed above. Recipes will be judged on originality, creativity, taste, visual appeal, crowd appeal and if the recipe applies the theme of this year’s contest successfully. Qualifying students will compete at the Rider Student Top Chef: Cluck U Performance Cook-Off Finale Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at one of three culinary stations at Daly Dining Hall. Entrants must be present and be able to prep, cook and serve their recipe the day of the event to be eligible for prizes. No contestant substitutions will be permitted. In the event a qualifying student chef can’t compete in the Performance Cook-Off Finale an alternate student chef will be chosen from the list of alternates. Rider University Dining Services by Aramark will be on-hand to assist each student chef in the preparation of his/her qualifying recipe and to insure both the student and the university are compliant with all Lawrence Township Board of Health codes. During the performance cooking competition Rider students will have the opportunity to sample and vote for each qualifying recipe. Voting will take place via text and tabulated by ZipWhip and overseen by The Bronc’s Social Media Director and other staff members during the voting period from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016. The student/recipe with the most votes by 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 will be deemed winner of Rider Student Top Chef: Cluck U.
First Place: A 55” HDTV plus a $100 Plus Membership courtesy Sam’s Club, Princeton; Private VIP Bowling Party for 30 at Colonial Bowling and Entertainment Center and Doc’s Bar and Grill in Lawrenceville; $200 in Bronc Bucks from Rider Dining Services, $50 in gift cards to Gretalia Hospitality Group restaurants and the winning recipe featured as a special menu item at one of the Gretalia Hospitality Group’s restaurants (Dolceria, North End Bistro, Osteria Procaccini, PJ’s Pancake House and Porta Via) Second Place: $150 in Bronc Bucks from Rider Dining Services, $50 in gift cards to Gretalia Hospitality Group restaurants, a $45 Sam’s Club Savings Membership, and $40 in gift cards to Colonial Bowling and Entertainment/Doc’s Bar & Grill, Third Place: $100 in Bronc Bucks from Rider Dining Services, $50 in gift cards to Gretalia Hospitality Group restaurants, a $45 Sam’s Club Savings Membership, and $30 in gift cards to Colonial Bowling and Entertainment/Doc’s Bar & Grill. Fourth through Sixth Place: $50 in Bronc Bucks from Rider Dining Services, a $45 Sam’s Club Savings Membership, $40 in gift cards to Gretalia Hospitality Group restaurants, and $20 in gift cards to Colonial Bowling and Entertainment/Doc’s Bar & Grill.
No purchase necessary. One entry per student. Must be currently enrolled for the fall 2016 semester as either a part-time or full-time student at Rider University. Rider employees currently attending classes at Rider University are eligible to enter. Judges decisions are final. Employees of individual prize sponsors, the 107.7 The Bronc student executive staff, affiliate companies, advertising agencies, other radio stations and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes.
