107.7 The Bronc has been looking port and starboard for the greatest original seafood recipes on campus. Now, we’ve reeled in the best recipes to catch your tastebuds at Rider University’s largest cook-off.
Congratulations to Brittany Cook and Julissa Zayas for becoming the Rider Student Top Chef: Fresh Catch Champions with their Dijon Salmon with White Rice and Grilled String Beans! Brittany and Julissa’s dish will be available at PJs Pancake House from December 1 to December 31, 2017.
Our runner-ups are Katie Ward (2nd Place) with Katie’s Kickin’ Tangy Tilapia with Buttery Angel Hair Pasta and David Brooks’ Scallops and Fall Spaghetti Squash (3rd Place).
The Rider Student Top Chef: Fresh Catch Finale will take place at Daly Dining Hall from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on Wednesday, November 15. Make sure you and your shipmates sail to Daly Dining Hall, sample the finalists’ food, and cast your vote by texting the name of the Rider chef who crafted your favorite seafood dish.
The student that receives the most votes by the end of the competition will be crowned the Rider Student Top Chef: Fresh Catch Champion. This year’s top chef will receive a sunken treasure’s worth of prizes, including a 55” Vizio 4K Ultra HDTV, a Sam’s Savings Membership, courtesy Sam’s Club of Princeton; a Felt’s Cruiser Bicycle from Pepsi and RockStar Energy; $200 in Bronc Bucks courtesy of Rider Dining Services; a $100 gift card to The Tanning Zone in Hamilton; a $50 in gift card to PJ’s Pancake House and the winning recipe will be featured as a special menu item at one of the Gretalia Hospitality Group’s restaurants.
Rider Student Top Chef: Fresh Catch is presented by PJs Pancake House, Rockstar Energy Drink, Rider Dining Services by Aramark, Sam’s Club of Princeton, and The Tanning Zone in Hamilton.
