Meet The Broadcast Teams
Tom Trimarco ’23 (Play-by -Play) is a sports media major here at Rider, I grew up in Hunterdon County and graduated two years ago from North Hunterdon High School. I am a huge NFL and NBA fan, but my favorite sports has to be college football. Since I was little kid my favorite sports teams are the New York Giants and the Portland Trailblazers. I’m also a huge music fan and love classic rock. My favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, the Grateful Dead, and the Beatles. It’s always been a dream of mine to be on the radio and I can’t wait to get a start here on the Bronc!
Jim Wister ’23 (Color Analyst) and I am majoring in both Communication and Marketing. Some of my hobbies include traveling and hiking and I hope to visit every state at some point in my life. I also enjoy playing and watching sports with basketball and football being my favorites. I think that horror and comedy are the best movie genres. Some of my favorite movies are Good Burger, This Is The End, Insidious, The Blair Witch Project and Oculus. Music is a huge part of my life and I enjoy a wide range of artists. My favorite musicians at the moment are Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator, A$AP Rocky, Isaiah Rashad, Outkast and Nirvana.
Jared Brito ’24 (Play-by -Play) is presently a Sports Media major from Philadelphia, PA. He is currently one of the hosts of The Best Damn Sports Report and hosts the live sports talk show, Fastbreak Fridays, which airs Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on 107.7 The Bronc. Jared talks about the latest news and updates in basketball, football, baseball, and hockey. When he’s not working at The Bronc, Jared enjoys acting in theatre, commercials, TV shows, and film. He is also on the Relay For Life marketing committee. His hobbies include playing and talking about sports, singing, acting, and listening to all types of music.
Owen McCarron ’26 (Color Analyst) is a Radio and Podcasting major with a minor in Sports Media and is super excited to be a part of 107.7 The Bronc here at Rider University. The newest member of the Wake-Up Rider team, he’s a resident of the West Windsor-Plainsboro area and worked for two years at his high school radio station. Owen loves staying active on campus through both club and intramural sports, as well as attending the awesome events here on campus with his friends. Hopefully, Owen will get to meet some of you on campus while recording Wake Up Rider’s new segment Bronc On The Street. Since he’s only a freshman, Owen can’t wait to see what else the radio station has in store for him.
Ben Shinault ’26 (Color Analyst) is majoring in Multi-Platform Journalism here at Rider University with a minor in Sports Media. Ben hails from Haddon Heights, New Jersey and is a graduate of Haddon Heights High School. While in high school, Ben assisted with football play-by-play and will be utilizing the skills he learned there as the newest member of the Rider women’s basketball broadcast team. Ben is a former special contributor on 94 WIP, who enjoys writing about baseball and loves to play sports as well. He hopes to bring his passion and energy for sports to the listeners of 107.7 The Bronc.
