The Spring 2015 semester has ended and we want to thank you for spending it with us here at 107.7 The Bronc. But the Bronc will still be out there this summer doing live broadcasts, contests, and more.
But first, let’s have a quick look back at what we recently have been doing. If you like to browse our website, then you may have noticed a change in the staff page as our senior officers Alexa Auerbach, Jake Tuff, Brian Kelley, Rob Faulstick, and Steve Sica have graduated this year. Many other people close to us here have graduated as well, including Samuel Morrison and Joseph Scocca. They have been a great help to our team. But with that we would like to welcome Matthew St. Onge, Haley Vassilijev, Danielle deLisi, Jared Gollin, and Andrew Zayicek to the executive staff here and we wish them the best of luck.
This past Saturday, May 23 from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., 107.7 The Bronc visited Sam’s Club for an onsite broadcast where they played golden oldies for the Memorial Day weekend shoppers. While there, we interviewed the general manager Bob Alderman and he told us all about some of the big savings that weekend for everyone’s Memorial Day shopping. One of the shoppers even entertained our broadcasters with some delicious carrot cake that’s available now. We will be returning to Sam’s Club on Saturday, June 20th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. so come say hi to us again.
To all you alumni out there, it’s time to come back to college. Rider University’s Alumni Weekend is Saturday, June 13th. There will be great food and fun this year for the special reunions for 2015. 107.7 The Bronc will be broadcasting Your Pet Matters with Dr. T live outside. But while Your Pet Matters will be live, if you go to Daly’s Dining Hall for lunch, then you’ll see more members of our staff playing the biggest hits and best variety from 11-2. So return to Rider and enjoy the many festivities prepared for that day. For more information on this and future alumni events, click here.
We have one last announcement for you and it’s a big one! 107.7 The Bronc has been named a finalist for the New Jersey Broadcasters Association’s first-ever “Best Student Radio Station” award. This award is a huge deal for all radio stations. Being nominated alone is an honor and it was all thanks to the work of the many students we have at our station. They each contributed portions of their shows to earn this opportunity. Members of our staff will be attending the NJBA’s 68th Annual Conference in Atlantic City for amazing learning opportunity and the awards ceremony on Thursday, June 18th during the Awards Luncheon. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this and to everyone who supports us at the station. We wouldn’t be earning this without our faithful listeners.
We’ve only given you a sample of summer fun on The Bronc. Keep checking in on the website and our social media to see more of what we’re up to. And don’t forget to listen to your favorite station with all the biggest hits and the best variety!
