We’ll bring you insights and interviews with alumni, students, faculty, and friends on a broad range of topics including mentoring, leadership, health, financial well-being, and the challenges facing women today.
Take the Reins is part of the Gail Bierenbaum Women’s Leadership Council, which is a Rider community of diverse, accomplished women who champion advancing women’s leadership, mentoring and philanthropy. Co-hosts Pamela Mingle, founder and director of the GBWLC and Erin Barnard, program coordinator and former admissions counselor, are on a mission to amplify Rider women’s voices from diverse backgrounds and industries who are passionate about helping the next generation of Rider women.

Meet The Hosts
Erin Barnard has worked in higher education for the last 13 years. She began her higher ed career in recruiting and then moved on to admissions and has worked at both two year and four year colleges. She loves working with students in the Gail Bierenbaum Women’s Leadership council and empowering them in their time at Rider and beyond. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s in Business Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, ballet, hiking, and spending time with her husband, two kids, and two cats.
Pamela is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Gail Bierenbaum Women’s Leadership Council and the Senior Director of Development at Rider University. She is passionate about women’s leadership and enjoys working with alumnae, friends, and students to help empower the next generation of Rider women leaders. A former professional ballerina, Pamela has an undergraduate degree in English Literature and an MFA in dance. In her free time, she enjoys fly fishing in the Catskills with her husband, boys and dog.
